Addicted to Strip Clubs

Well, I’m officially addicted to strip clubs.

I’ve teamed up with a local ministry called Light the Darkness. They go out four nights a week to local strip clubs and witness to dancers. When the Lord led me to them a couple weeks ago, I signed on straight away! I went through training yesterday and went out in the harvest this evening. No time like the present!

It was just Carolyn and me so we handed out Christmas presents and spent 1.5 hours talking with the women. It was incredible!!! Divine appointments!! We even had a salvation!!

A dancer’s husband was there, sharing how his mother and grandmother both passed and they were Gospel singers. He got choked up and next thing we know, he was giving his life to Christ!

Another young girl was very receptive. It was her first night dancing as she’s about to be homeless within a few days time. We got her number and I’m going to follow up and find housing for her. She grew up in church and her mother just died and she’s desperate. I kept saying “you’ve not been overlooked! He sees you!” I got choked up that time.

These women are lost, desperate and broken. I too was once lost, desperate and broken. I too thought there was no other way than selling my body and soul to the devil. And the Lord has now used my brokenness to bear witness to others!! Glory to God!!!

This type of ministry isn’t for everyone, but it’s definitely what I was made for! To be a light in the darkness. To bring a smile, a hug, and compassionate care.

Who ever thought I would say the presence of Jesus in a strip club was thick and heavy?! His love was all over that place! Praise God!!!

Thank you to everyone who was praying and covering me this evening. Your prayers were definitely felt! God bless you all abundantly.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16
